Carrie Heningham - Tenor
Carrie began playing with pipe bands twelve years ago as a piper. She
was a member of the Northern Border Caledonia from Maine. The band
competed mostly in Canada. Carrie competed with the grade four band
and as a grade four soloist. After moving to Massachusetts, Carrie
joined the Manchester Pipe Band and competed with the grade five band.
The band was promoted to grade four and competed in the US and
Canada. Carrie was a front line piper in the corps.
Carrie joined the Manchester grade two drum line as a tenor drummer in
2003. Carrie went on to play with Rhode Island in grade three, and
the Worcester Kiltie band in grade four and three. Carrie writes the
tenor scores and has studied the SFU system of scoring tenor.
Carrie studied piano and classical guitar while growing up in Austria.
Carrie has performed on bass guitar with pipers including Bruce Gandy.
Carrie also perform as a vocalist and currently sings at Holy
Trinity Church. Carrie still performs as a piper at weddings and
other events and teaches tenor in the Sturbridge area.
