Sean Heningham - Snare
Sean started taking lessons at the Gaelic College in Cape Breton when
he was five years old. His first competition with a band was with the
Manchester Pipe Band in grade five as a tenor drummer. The next season
when Sean was big enough to march with a short drum, he played snare
in the band with a custom built Andante. Sean was soon promoted to
the grade two corps and played as the instructor for the grade four
band. Meanwhile, his solo career took him through the Jr. grade and
up to grade two in a few seasons, and he has recently been promoted to
grade one. Along with the Manchester organization, Sean played with
the Rhode Island band in grade three for two seasons. Sean is
currently the playing instructor for the Worcester grade five band,
and member of the grade three band.
Sean is a senior at Tantasqua High School with plans to attend college
in Massachusetts next year. He also performs as a drummer with the
rock band "Harbinger". Sean was the drum captain for the school
marching band this past year and has also performed with the jazz band.
